Here's my review,
I just finished it and it was awesome! Most Legolas fans will like this better than A Look Beyond. Why? Because nobody really has any big downfalls. Somebody asked me if there was any romance between Aragorn & Estella. The answer is NO OF COURSE NOT! This story is for LEGOLAS & Estella. It takes place after the War of the Ring, and it is when Legolas was about to propose when a young rider arrives in Gondor, and claims that Legolas's Father must speak with him at once. Thranduil tells Legolas that he has no desire to remain on Middle- Earth, and wishes to leave for the Undying Lands. In his stead, Legolas must become King, but cannot do so if he chooses to give up his immortal life. If he does this "Miniver" the next heir to the throne will become King. Legolas knows that he is up to no good, and loves his people far to much to put them in such a place, and has always promised his Father that he would serve the people over himself, and his desires.
It is Legolas's choice to bend his knee to the throne of Mirkwood. Give up the one he's grown to love, and become King.
Or....
Propose to Estella. Give up his immortal life, and fail everything he promised his Father...........
------------------- Estella: I have not seen you since the day you left. Where did you go? Legolas: Estella..... Estella: What is it that troubles you? Legolas: This is very hard for me. -------------------
